Opioid Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Conference

Mount Rogers CSB and the Wythe/Bland Substance Abuse Coalition hosted their Keys to Wellness: Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Workshop on April 5th in Wytheville. This workshop included speakers from the internationally renowned CNQR Collaborative. The speakers were able to captivate the audience with their stories, and encourage the systems-of-care approach. A panel discussion ended the workshop, which discussed the local resources in the Wythe/Bland area.

Ripple: The Suicide Effect

This is a FREE EVENT that is open to the public! We will also have door prize drawings that include a copy of Kevin’s book: Cracked Not Broken. Please plan to attend this important screening on May 8th at 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion.

The film chronicles the story of Kevin Hines, who at age 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then, Kevin has been on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive and find recovery.
