RACSB Executive Director Jane Yaun challenged staff and community partners to 50 or 100 miles in May for Mental Health Month.

On May 1, 2020, employees of the Rappahannock Area Community Services Board was issued a challenge by Executive Director Jane Yaun in recognition of May as Mental Health Month. Staff members are encouraged to pick a goal of either 50 or 100 miles and take the month of May to run or walk the distance. All participants will receive fun RACSB swag that will be accompanied by Mindfulness BINGO cards and medication disposal kits. Those reaching their personal goal will be entered into a drawing for something awesome provided by Jane.

Within a week, more than 100 RACSB staff members have signed up to participate.

Additionally, RACSB challenged local community partners. So far, 23 community members have committed to participating in our challenge. They represent the following organizations: Caroline County Government; Stafford County Government; Rappahannock United Way; Rappahannock Area Health District; Public Defenders Office; and Be Well Rappahannock.

Our goal is to promote resilience and both mental and physical wellness.  Stay well and get walking.
