Welcome to our 71st Mental Health Month!
Launched in 1949 by Mental Health America (MHA), May is Mental Health Month is the most highly recognized mental health awareness event in the nation.
Each year, tens of thousands of organizations choose to use our official May is Mental Health Month materials. They reach millions of people with messages of health, wellness, prevention, and recovery.
In 2020, our “Tools 2 Thrive” theme will provide practical tools that everyone can use to improve their mental health and increase resiliency regardless of the situations they are dealing with.
We now believe that these tools – even those that may need to be adapted for the short term because of COVID-19 and social distancing – will be more useful than ever.
During the month of May, the tools that will be featured as ways to boost mental health and general wellness are:
