$12.5M Available in Grants for Coalitions Without Previous DFC Award Experience
Application Due Date: May 17, 2021

On March 10, 2021, ONDCP and the CDC announced a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) under the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) program; $12.5M in funds is available for up to 100 new coalitions that have not received a DFC award in the past. Recipients are expected to work with leaders in their communities across sectors to identify and address local youth substance use problems and create sustainable community-level change through the implementation of evidence-based and practice-based strategies. Coalitions will receive up to $125,000 per year for up to five years.

$12.5M Available in Competing Continuation Grants for Current or Former DFC Coalitions
Application Due Date: May 26, 2021

On March 26, 2021, ONDCP and the CDC announced a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) under the Drug-Free Communities (DFC) program; $12.5M in funds is available for up to 100 coalitions under competing continuation. Eligible applicants are community-based coalitions addressing youth substance use that have previously received a DFC grant but have experienced a lapse in funding or have concluded the first five-year funding cycle and are applying for a second five-year funding cycle (Years 6-10). Recipients are expected to work with leaders in their communities across sectors to identify and address local youth substance use problems and create sustainable community-level change through the implementation of evidence-based and practice-based strategies. Coalitions will receive up to $125,000 per year for up to five years.
