Resiliency is not something you either have or don’t have, it is a skill that can be taught, nurtured, and supported in all people. To learn more about resiliency, check out recent Vital Signs article The Power of Resiliency in the Face of Adversity.
The first step to building a trauma-informed and resilient community is sharing knowledge. As a community, we need to understand mental health, substance abuse, and how trauma and adverse childhood experiences affect brain development. This knowledge allows us to prevent future ACEs, reduce the dose of current ACEs, and have some insight to behaviors that we may see from our friends, family, community members, and those that we serve. Region Ten offers a variety of trainings that address Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Trauma and substance abuse. Check out the flyer below for more information on our offerings!
