Thank you for your questions—we appreciate that the timing is challenging!

Q: Is there any chance of an extension of this deadline?

A: After consultation with Gail, we are asking that CSBs stick to the September 5 deadline. But we do want to emphasize the following:

  • the SOR Year 2 draft budget does NOT need to be at a high level of detail
  • we will be open to Logic Model changes/additions throughout the year, so the Year 1 completed Logic Model is sufficient as your guide

Having the proposals starting on September 6, will allow us to review, respond with any follow up questions, make funding decisions, and issue the money to be available for the full 12 months.

Q. Is staff time an allowable SOR Prevention funding expense?

A. Yes, provided the staff person/people are working directly on approved SOR Prevention strategies.

Q. With SOR Year 2 Prevention funding covering 12 months, versus 6 months for SOR Year 1, should we expect double the funding?

A. No. We have approximately the same amount of money to award for Year 2.

Thank you again for all that you are doing!
