Virginia’s Intersection Between Substance Misuse Prevention and Recovery Approaches

 

Developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (SAMHSA’s CAPT), the CAPT chose Virginia to pilot the Intersection between Substance Misuse Prevention and Recovery Approaches curriculum in Virginia.

In order to provide the curriculum, statewide, and ensure its sustainability, Virginia requested and was granted a TOT opportunity by SAMSHA.

It is with great pleasure that we announce Virginia DBHDS’s Office of Behavioral Health Wellness is offering two (2) FREE webinars on the

“Intersection Between Substance Misuse Prevention and Recovery Approaches”

Wed., Sept. 16th , 2020 & Thurs., Sept. 17th , 2020

Time: 10:00a – 1:00p

The objectives of the training will help participants describe:

  • …the intersections between Prevention and Recovery approaches
  • …common terms used in the Prevention and Recovery fields
  • …a more holistic approach to the Continuum of Care
  • …how Prevention and Recovery Practitioners can support one another
