CDC Technical Packages for Preventing Violence and Suicide

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and suicide prevention are the two violence-related Center priorities of the CDC. Preventing ACEs is fundamental to reducing multiple forms of violence across the lifespan and suicide rates have been increasing steadily with even more marked increases in the past decade.  As such, they are working to move both areas forward. In the past year, they have released a series of technical packages that the NPSC finds to be invaluable resources for state and local agencies, practitioners, clinicians, community and national organizations and policymakers. The field has learned a great deal about what works to prevent violence and these technical packages are designed to help communities make decisions that are based on the best available evidence.
