Valley Community Services Board’s Prevention Specialist attended the 2019 CADCA Forum, finding great value in the experience:

“I was able to learn about the emerging issues among young people in regards to medicine abuse. For example, there is data surfacing to say that more young people are beginning to use non-prescribed, prescription stimulants (such as Adderall) instead of opioids. This is especially true for those enrolled in a college or university. Another forum I really enjoyed was the one titled “Engaging Youth and Adults in Preventing Prescription Drug Misuse”. It was nice to see the input of youth on what programs and trainings they would like to go to, to make being involved in a coalition worth their while.”
